Why do we keep failing our children? One year ago, the Attorney General sought an extension for compliance with the Adam Walsh Child Protection Act because the General Assembly failed to act. States were supposed to comply with the Act by July of 2009. A year later, the General Assembly again refused to act as they raced towards recess. And, once again, the Attorney General sought and received yet another extension until July 2011.
